Born in a French-speaking region of Cameroon, first-year student Sandra Kemzang brings her rich cultural heritage and a passion for equity to her role as the 1L representative for the Regroupement étudiant de common law en français (RÉCLEF).

Dr. Danielle Lussier, LLL 2006, LLB 2007, LLM 2008, PhD-Law 2021, Red River Métis and citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation, has been appointed to the Order of Ontario.

Alum Sam Sasan Shoamanesh has been presented with the 2024 International Bar Association (IBA) Award for Outstanding Contribution by a Legal Practitioner to Human Rights for his extraordinary dedication to defending human rights and cultivating the international Rule of Law for over two decades, particularly during his work at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The Ontario government is pleased to announce the appointment of Justice Martel to the Ontario Court of Justice. Chief Justice Sharon Nicklas has assigned Justice Martel to Ottawa.
