91��Ʒ���ϳԹ�

The Advanced Medical Research Centre (AMRC) will add major velocity to the 91��Ʒ���ϳԹ� Faculty of Medicine's efforts to address the great scientific challenges of the 21st century.

The word “Ottawa” comes from the Algonquin term adawe, “to trade.” True to its name, Ottawa today is a place to create and trade ideas: ideas that can shape public policy, build forward-thinking communities, and help innovations become exciting business opportunities. All this to build a healthier and stronger community.

Philosopher Francis Bacon said it best: knowledge is power. Those words motivated a group of local researchers to use wastewater to track influenza, a viral infection commonly known as “the flu”.

Last year, the University of Ottawa, The Ottawa Hospital and its Research Institute (OHRI) formed a new partnership to foster a more collaborative and impactful health research community in our city. If popular wisdom holds that music is good for the soul, science is increasingly seeking to better understand how music can affect the body, brain, and mind, as evidenced by the 2020 publication of the first World Health Organization report on health and music.
