Fauteux Hall

Building Information

Fauteux Hall is a five-storey building that was built in 1973. The building was named after G茅rald Fauteux, a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and Dean of the Faculty of Law from 1953 to 1962. Fauteux Hall is home to the Faculty of Law, both the Civil Law and Common Law sections of the faculty, the Human Rights Research and Education Centre, the Canadian Center of Linguistic Rights, and the Law Library. Auditoriums, classrooms, seminar rooms, meeting/conference rooms, a cafeteria, study spaces, and office spaces are located throughout. Fauteux Hall also includes a moot court that can be split into three separate lecture halls.
