鈥淭he Supreme Court of Canada鈥檚 very tight decision of 5 judges against 4 ruled in favour of Mike Ward. The court ruled the right to freedom of expression trumps the right to dignity as protected by the Quebec charter. A person's personal and subjective perception of what he or she finds offensive is not sufficient to limit freedom of expression; rather, the analysis must be based on objective criteria.鈥
