The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) recently in several research grant competitions. Although the implementation of this new CV format is in a period of gradual transition, more and more funding opportunities will use it in the coming years. Do you understand the reasons for this change? Do you want to better understand what this means for you? This session of the Research Conversations proposes to explain the context leading to this change, explore options for managing your CV, explain what a narrative CV is, and give examples and a few tips for preparing it. This session will be particularly important for new professors and for those who plan to apply for SSHRC research funding in the coming years.

Marie-Eve Girard holds a bachelor's and master's degree in sexology from the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al. She worked as a research coordinator in HIV prevention research within the LGBTQ community in Montreal for 7 years and then turned to university research administration. She has been at the University of Ottawa for 10 years, during which time she supported the research community in the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, for example as a Knowledge Mobilization Advisor.

Roberto Ortiz N煤帽ez

Roberto Ortiz N煤帽ez is the Knowledge Mobilization Senior Advisor at the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation of the University of Ottawa. Previously, he worked for over ten years in community-based organizations focusing on 2SLGBTQIA+ health and wellness. He holds a master鈥檚 degree from Universit茅 de Montr茅al. He is particularly passionate about community-based research, languages, movies, and climate and social justice.
