Dany Laveault is Professor Emeritus of Measurement and Evaluation in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa since 2015. He served as Associate Dean of Research from 1998 to 2002 and the received the Research Excellence Award in 2012. From 1993 to 2001, he was the Director of the international French-language journal Mesure et 茅valuation en 茅ducation. In 1995, the Association for the Development of Evaluation Methodologies in Education (ADME) honored him with its annual prize for outstanding contributions to measurement in education. In 2014, DeBoeck published the third edition of  en psychologie et en sciences de l'茅ducation and in 2016, he co-edited  (Springer). Over the course of his career, he published several articles on learning assessment certificative, formative, assessment of teachers鈥 professional judgment, as well as the role of student self-evaluation in regulating learning. He is also an evaluation consultant for Quebec and Ontario school systems, as well as outside for educational institutions outside of Canada.
