Maria A. Rogers, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Counselling Psychology program, and is Carleton University鈥檚 Tier II Canada Research Chair in Child and Youth Well-being. Professor Rogers鈥 research endeavours to understand how relationships impact the educational and emotional development of children and youth. A core area of her research examines the relational health of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and its associations with children鈥檚 learning.

As co-founder of the , Professor Rogers鈥 lab is also investigating chronic absenteeism in children and teens, and its associations with child and parent mental health, children鈥檚 learning, and children鈥檚 relational health at school.

Professor Rogers is a Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist who is registered to practice in Ontario and Qu茅bec. She has a personal interest in the well-being and education of Indigenous children, and works clinically alongside several Indigenous community members, schools, and families.
