Nathalie Bélanger earned her PhD from the Université René Descartes-Paris V (1997) and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Sheffield (UK) in 1998. From 1998 to 2005, she taught at OISE/University of Toronto as an associate professor. She is currently a Research Chair in Francophonie at the University of Ottawa and is interested in the processes of inclusion and exclusion in schools. Her research and teaching interests focus on sociological approaches to education and on the themes of equality/equity, minorities, la francophonie, special education, the perspectives or representations of children and learners, and school/family/community relations.
