Suzanne Gooderham, Ph.D. taught in the elementary school system for twelve years as a Special Education and classroom teacher before coming to the University of Ottawa. In her classes, she promotes inclusive classrooms and student-centered approaches to teaching and learning that focus on the whole child. She believes that students learn best when physical, social, and emotional, well-being are considered as important as academic growth and that strong family and community connections to the school and classroom are essential. She has been teaching in the Faculty`s Comprehensive School Health cohort for a number of years.
