Timothy J. Stanley
Cross-Appointment Professor
Emeritus Professor

Room
LMX 430

For close to fifty years, Professor Timothy Stanley's primary interest in antiracism education has led him to teach many generations of university students as well as to lead workshops for groups ranging from high school students and teachers to the general staff of the Canadian Army. Extensive experience in university administration, including as the former Interim Dean of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, informs his approach. His current research, which builds on his previous work in antiracist history, explores the relations between contemporary racisms, the racist exclusions of the past, and the construction and symbolic marking of contemporary cultural landscapes.
