Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology 鈥 Mentorship Award
This accolade honors commitment to fostering excellence and inspiring the next generation of professionals in exercise science. Professor Adamo (School of Human Kinetics) has demonstrated outstanding mentorship in her interdisciplinary research program focusing on early lifestyle intervention and upstream prevention of childhood obesity. With her team, she explores the impact of healthy active living during key phases of growth and development, including pregnancy.
Josephine Etowa
Canadian Public Health Association 鈥 Ron Draper Health Promotion Award
This award acknowledges a significant contribution to building healthy public policy, creating environments that support health, enabling community action, and/or re-orienting health services. Professor Etowa (School of Nursing) is a global leader in reducing health inequities faced by Black communities and transforming health systems in Canada and abroad. Her community-based research focuses on health equity, perinatal health, COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, nurses鈥 work life, and community nursing.

Mwali Muray
Faculty of Health Sciences EDI in Research Award
This Faculty award recognizes Professor Muray's (School of Nursing) contributions to strengthening equity, diversity, and inclusion through her research. Her expertise focuses on access to health care services for Francophone minority communities, with a particular interest in the well-being of African, Caribbean and Black populations who often experience double minoritization.
Jennifer O鈥橬eil
Ontario Physiotherapy Association 鈥 Innovation and Advancement Award
This award acknowledges pioneering research excellence in physiotherapy and demonstrates the advancement of the profession through innovation in clinical practice, research, technology and education. Research initiatives led by Professor O'Neil (School of Rehabilitation Sciences) are focused on improving access to effective physiotherapy interventions and have played a key role in the development of telehealth solutions and capacity building on both national and global scales.
Annie Robitaille
Faculty of Health Sciences Early Career Researcher Award
This Faculty award recognizes the sustained outstanding contributions of Professor Robitaille (Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences) in improving the quality of life of older adults and their caregivers. Annie鈥檚 research aims to unravel the biopsychosocial factors at play during the aging process and to translate these findings into practice by implementing programs designed to improve the lives of older adults living with frailty.

The Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO) promotes the highest standard in cancer care nursing excellence for all people in Canada. As one of the founders and co-developers of COSTaRS, decision tools designed to enhance the quality of cancer support by nurses, her sustained efforts in improving patient care further the vision and mission of CANO. The award recognizes Professor Stacey as an exceptional oncology nurse, researcher, collaborator, and mentor. The methods and tools she developed have influenced health policy in Canada and globally.

CIHR - Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis - Inclusive Research Excellence Award: Patient Engagement and Team Science
