Professor Sutton has been involved in the field of communication disorders since 1979. After working as a researcher and clinician, she completed her doctorate and joined academia as a professor at the Université de Montréal in 2000. Professor Sutton joined the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Ottawa in 2009 and retired in December 2023.

Professor Sutton is not accepting new students for thesis supervision.
