In a simulated meeting of the UN Security Council, convened on 18 November 2024, 20 Common Law students adopted a resolution calling upon all states to conduct their outer space activities in conformity with international law including the UN Charter, and not to place in orbit around the Earth any objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of weapons of mass destruction.

Professor Karen Eltis played a key role in the development of the “Ethics of Artificial Intelligence for the Legal Practitioner” toolkit released by the Canadian Bar Association. The toolkit addresses the ethical, professional, and practical implications of using generative AI in the legal field.
