The former DocZone tool has now been replaced with a new version hosted on SharePoint. As it was before, DocZone is meant as a temporary storage location for files that are too large for email transfer. Files added here will be removed periodically.

How to use:

  1. Access DocZone using . Please note that a University of Ottawa account is now required to access.
  2. Once logged in, you may navigate to the appropriate folder for year 1, year 2, year 3 or year 4 and following the steps below, you can then add your files to the appropriate folder.
Note: We recommend naming your file in a way where it is evident what the file is for.

Adding a Folder:

Adding a folder should only be done if you have multiple files that you wish to have remain together.

  1. Click on the + New button and select the option for 鈥楩older鈥.
  2. Name your folder and you may select a different folder colour. Click 鈥楥reate鈥 when ready.

Adding a File or multiple files:

There are two easy and convenient ways to add files.

  1. Using the 鈥楿pload鈥 button: Click on the 鈥楿pload鈥 button and select to upload either a 鈥楩iles鈥 or 鈥楩olders鈥. Selecting either option will open a dialogue box allowing you to select either files or folders from your computer or device.
  2. Using the 鈥楧rag & Drop鈥 method: This method is only possible if you are using a computer and does not work with a smartphone or tablet.
Locate any the files or folders on your computer. Select them and then simply drag them over the space where files are currently located. If no files are in the folder, drag them over the large yellow folder icon. After a few seconds, the files and/or folders will automatically upload.

As files are added, notifications are sent to members of the support team who are linked to the specific year folder. The files will then be retrieved, moved to their permanent storage location and made available to learners via the appropriate platform.
