Abstract Network

The Faculty of Medicine is pleased to announce the successful applicants of the 2024 Path to Patenting & Pre-commercialization (3P) Grant competition. The Path to Patenting & Pre-commercialization grant program helps move early-stage biomedical research from the lab toward real-world applications by supporting proof-of-concept studies and commercialization efforts. It provides funding for key experiments, intellectual property protection, market assessments, and business development to help researchers bring their innovations to market.

Together with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI), the Children鈥檚 Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute (CHEO RI), the Bruy猫re Health Research Institute (BHRI), the Brain-Heart Interconnectome (BHI) and 91精品黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Innovation Support Services, we wish to congratulate the 2024 recipients as they take the next steps toward bringing their discoveries to market:

  • Andrew Frank (BHRI/BHI/Medicine): 鈥楧evelopment of an artificial intelligence-driven virtual companion for people living with dementia鈥
  • Calum Redpath (UOHI/Medicine): 鈥楶recision treatment planning software for ventricular arrhythmia localization鈥
