Dr. Karine Gentelet is an Associate Member at the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Quebec in Outaouais.  

Dr. Karine Gentelet's research interests and publications focus on the recognition of Indigenous Peoples' rights, the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence for social justice, research ethics in an Indigenous context, and the social responsibility of researchers.

Dr. Gentelet is a researcher at the , in the Cyberjustice Laboratory, where she leads a research project on the empowerment of marginalized populations through artificial intelligence. She is also a researcher at the , where she is the Scientific Director for collaboration with civil society.

From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Gentelet held the Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Social Justice at the 脡cole Normale Sup茅rieure-Abeonas-OBVIA. Since 2007, Dr. Gentelet has also been deeply involved in promoting and defending human rights with .
