NSERC CREATE programs:
OISB supports two training programs. These include 鈥楾echnomise鈥 (TECHNOlogies for MIcrobiome Science and Engineering), directed by Dr. Daniel Figeys (), and , directed by Drs. Mary-Ellen Harper and Steffany Bennett
Through these programs, OISB encourages collaborative and integrative approaches, and address significant scientific challenges associated with Canada鈥檚 research priorities, and facilitates the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workforce.

With the highly complementary research areas of OISB, NRC-HHT and NRC-DT, the agreement has catalyzed new avenues of research, and led to Collaborative Seed Grants, and our recently announced NRC-OISB Graduate Scholarships.
