Gee-Gees bring people together
The University of Ottawa鈥檚 sports teams are known as the Gee-Gees. The 鈥淕Gs鈥 nickname was taken from the initials of the University of Ottawa鈥檚 colours: the garnet and grey. It was then combined with 鈥済ee-gee,鈥 a horse-racing term meaning the first horse out of the starting gate, and our horse mascot was born!
