A rich architectural history that continues to captivate
Over the past eight years, we鈥檝e opened five new cutting-edge facilities. These sleek, modern spaces complement the rich architectural history of our campus, which dates back to the 19th century.
Our newer additions include the STEM Complex, Learning Crossroads, LabO Black Box Theatre, Advanced Research Complex and Lees football dome. These facilities represent our evolution to embrace the next generation, but stand in perfect harmony among buildings with deep roots, such as Tabaret Hall, Hagen Hall and Alex Trebek Alumni Hall.
Classrooms tailored to different learning methods
Depending on the course, year of study and learning style, classes at 91精品黑料吃瓜 can vary from lectures in large halls to intimate discussion groups to high tech labs. Large or small, most of our classrooms are equipped with wireless internet and LCD screens.
A shrinking carbon footprint
Our Office of Campus Sustainability ensures that our campus is ethical and green, and that our buildings reflect 91精品黑料吃瓜鈥檚 commitment to sustainable development. For example, the Social Sciences Building contains a six-storey living wall with 8,000 plants from 12 different species, and 80% of the building鈥檚 heating needs are met through heat redistribution. We鈥檝e also joined 15 other Canadian universities in adopting a responsible investment charter.
A healthy mind in a healthy body
Our three sports centres will help you stay active and healthy. Montpetit Hall is equipped with gyms, an Olympic-sized pool, a fitness centre, saunas and studio spaces for martial arts, yoga and more. The Minto Sports Complex houses two ice rinks, two squash courts, a fitness centre and a FIFA two-star certified soccer pitch. Our Lees campus is home to our football field and a 7,000-square-foot gym. Get ready to get moving!

You鈥檒l quickly feel right at home in one of our 11鈥痳esidences, either on or off campus, or get鈥tips on living in nearby neighbourhoods. Make new friends, get involved in your community, and access programs and resources that will help you adapt to life at university. Studies have shown that first-year students who stay in residence adjust better to university and receive more support than those who live off campus.

We offer a wide selection of food options to suit every taste and preference. You can also make your own snacks and meals, get advice from our dietitian and explore other food cultures. In addition to providing a dietary restriction program for people with allergies, we clearly label our food so you鈥檒l always know when you鈥檙e eating halal, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free.

Prime locations and programs
Just 20 minutes from the main campus, Roger Guindon Hall is home to the Faculty of Medicine, which offers one of the top 10 medical programs in Canada and is among the top medical schools in the world for research impact in biomedical and health sciences. It鈥檚 right next door to the world-class Children鈥檚 Hospital of Eastern Ontario and The Ottawa Hospital. And Lees campus, one stop away by light rail train, features clinical nursing labs and more.

Safety is a priority
In 2020, Canada was ranked the sixth safest country and Ottawa the fourth safest city in Canada, according to the Global Peace Index. Highly trained security guards and 900+ surveillance cameras ensure student safety on our campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer a Foot Patrol to accompany any member of the University community, along with other programs to make sure you always feel safe on campus.
