Maintaining cholesterol homeostasis is essential for both brain and systemic health, yet the mechanisms governing its transport and regulation remain complex. This talk explores how a novel regulator cholesterol homeostasis regulates lipoprotein metabolism and cognitive function. By understanding the interplay between lipid metabolism, cellular transport pathways, and the coordination between the brain and heart, we can uncover new insights into neurodegeneration, cardiovascular health, and potential therapies.
